Fish Cleaning Station

A fish cleaning station is hard to find when you are out on the water for a day of fishing. My beautiful and amazing wife appreciates it when I clean my day’s catch outside, instead of in the kitchen sink, which can stink up the whole house. As a compromise I have purchased a great portable, folding, fish fillet table that I store in the garage. When I get home from a fishing trip where I catch more than just a few fish, I pull out my portable fish fillet table from the garage, and plug in my hose to the hose adapter, and I am able to clean my fish comfortably as if I was at the kitchen sink. After the fish are cleaned, I wash up the table real nice, including a spray down with a bleaching product, to ensure that the table doesn’t build up a stink like the public ones at launch ramps. They also have fish fillet tables that are meant to connect to a dock, or smaller sizes that mount perfectly inside your boat, so that you can clean the fish right on the water. Check your fishing regulations to make sure that you can clean them where you want to clean them, some states have rules of which fish you can clean, and how you can clean them when you are out on the water. Fish Fillet tables have saved me tireless hours bent over in front of the faucet outside, and cleaning fish is no longer back breaking work because of it. My favorite campground has a faucet near each campsite, so I also bring it on some of my camping trips so I can comfortable clean fish at camp as well. They fold up nicely, and as long as you do the final clean up well they won’t start to stink. One thing to look out for is that the connections need to be metal. There are some fillet tables on the market with cheap plastic adapters on the bottom, and when you fold the legs, they stick out, and I just know that when they are in the back of my truck with my camping gear, that will break off on the first trip.
