If you are looking for the ultimate pellet grill experience, with the latest

gives you the best of both worlds by giving you the hardwood smoky
flavor of the pellet grill, and the ease and convenience of a gas grill as
well.
With the Camp Chef Apex 36 Pellet Grill with Gas Kit, you can cook
what you want, how you want to! The Apex Grill is a griller's dream come true by combining a top of the line
pellet grill with a propane grill (optional add-on) to bring you a patio experience unlike anything you've seen
before.
With one grill, in a single chamber, you will be able to switch fuel sources with the twist of a knob. So whether
you are looking to grill some steaks with the quick and easy propane option, or kick your flavors up a notch by
putting a smoke ring on a 15 pound brisket with the pellet grill smoker, the Apex does it all. This new grill is
the top grill, and our most favorite, pellet grill from Camp Chef. If you like the benefit of having gas and pellet
for fuel, this would be the best bet for a pellet grill.
# 2 - Camp Chef Pellet Grill is the Woodwind Pro 36
The Camp Chef Woodwind Pro 36 Pellet Grill has delivered smoking and
grilling excellence with the all new look, and great style, and an all new
smoke box drawer that gives you the ability to add more smoke to your
cook. The Smoke Box allows you to simultaneously control heat and flavor
by adding more wood pellets, wood chunks, wood chips, and even charcoal.
You can even use cold smoke to smoke things like cheese by using the fan
only mode. Smoking or grilling is a snap. Just fill your hopper with your
favorite wood pellets and fire up the pellet grill for some perfectly cooked meats and that delicious smoke
taste. Kick your grilling and smoking up a notch with the all new Woodwind Pro Pellet Grill.
We recommend the Camp Chef Woodwind Pro Pellet Grill as our top choice for the best in the Camp Chef
Pellet Grill line up, for those that do not want the added gas option in the Camp Chef Apex Pellet grill above.
We would go with the 36 inch model as you never know when you may want to cook for a larger group or
some larger cuts of meat, or even a turkey or two. This amazing pellet grill will give you the perfectly seared
steakhouse style steak in the comfort of your back yard. Big Steakhouse Steak flavor, without the big
steakhouse price!
# 3 - Camp Chef Pellet Grill is the Woodwind WiFi 36
The Camp Chef WoodWind WiFi Pellet Grill is the ultimate in pellet
grills. It comes in two sizes, a 24 inch and a family feast size of 36 inch
which boasts a whopping 1236 square inches of cooking space for
plenty of room to cook for your family and for additional guests
during the holidays and special events. It has three options to choose
from on the side, a shelf, a sidekick, and our favorite the sidekick sear
(pictured).
The sidekick sear is big enough to sear your steaks to carmelize them and sear in those juices to then move
them over to the grill itself to cook them. The WiFi component is amazing, works with an app on your tablet or
smartphone to let you monitor and even control the heat settings on your grill. No more going out to the grill
in the cold of winter to check the heat of your grill, you can now monitor and manage it from the warmth of
your home until it’s time to turn the steaks, or pull them off the grill when they are ready.
You will be able to change the temparature, set timers, and receive notifications when your meat reaches your
set temparature with the four stainless steel meat probes that are included. It also holds 22 pounds of wood
pellets so you won’t run out of pellets in the middle of cooking. This pellet grill comes with a three year
warranty.
If you go with the Camp Chef WoodWind WiFi Pellet Grill, we recommend the 36 inch size, as you never know
when you may want to cook for a larger group or some larger cuts of meat, or even a turkey or two. We really
recommend the SideKick Sear option to give you the perfectly seared steakhouse style steak in the comfort of
your back yard.
# 4 - Camp Chef SG WiFi Pellet Grill
The Camp Chef SG Wifi Pellet Grill is a great looking grill that comes in black or
bronze, depending on whether you choose the 24 inch, 30 inch, or 36 inch
grill. We cook for our large family, so we prefer the 36 inch model, and we
really like the bronze color (pictured), but the black looks sharp as well. What
we like about this grill is the durable design, again that bronze color is
amazing, and the fact that you can switch seamlessly between traditional low
and slow smoking and Direct Flame wood fired grilling, letting you work with
two completely different flavor profiles all on one grill.
This pellet grill also has the built in WiFi, letting you use the Camp Chef Connect app to monitor and control
your grill from the comfort of your home. With the 36 inch model you get two meat probes to fine tune that
perfect level of doneness that you like. You also get a huge amount of cooking space to work with, coming in
at 1236 square inches of space for cooking larger meats like multiple prime ribs, or multiple turkeys.
If you decide to buy the Camp Chef SG Wifi pellet grill, we recommend that you go with the 36 inch model to
give you plenty of cooking space to work with. For those that don’t want the added cost of the WoodWind
models stainless steel, and if you wouldn’t use the SideKick Sear option, this may be your first choice, as it is a
really great grill. That bronze color is really nice!
Camp Chef has several other Pellet Grill models to choose from if you don’t want the built in WiFi, and the
extra cost. The WiFi for me was a game changer, and I highly recommend each of these grills mentioned
above. Once you have WiFi you will never go back, and you will wonder how you ever grilled without it. It truly
is the best BBQ Grilling experience.
What To Look For In A Pellet Grill
Shopping for A Pellet Grill: What Do I Need To Know?
Before we take a look at the best pellet grills, let’s talk about some of the basics about pellet grills. It’s
important to get a good understanding of why they really are the best choice. The more that you know about
the latest pellet grills, the easier it will be to make the all important decision of which one is right for you.
What are the advantages of owning a pellet grill?
A pellet grill is a fairly good sized investment. If you like to cook your meals outside, once you see what a
pellet grill will do for your cooking experience, you will see why they are better than other grills. With the
amazing flavor of your meats and veggies, you will be glad you made the change. There are many reasons
why a pellet grill is the best choice, and we will go over some of those below.
Pellet Grills Are Simple To Use
You will be surprised at how quick and easy it is to put together and use a pellet grill. Once your pellet grill
arrives, you can have it ready to grill in one to two hours. Depending on which model you buy, the latest pellet
grills have digital controls and pre-programmable settings that will have you cooking like a pro in no time.
Pellet Grills Cook Food Evenly
A pellet grill cooks food evenly because of how the wood pellets feed into the grilling chamber to keep the
temperature that you set. This also lessens the chances of burning your food with those annoying flare-ups.
The pellet grills enable you to maintain accurate temperatures throughout the cooking process.
Pellet Grills Smoke, Bake, and Grill
One of the best features that a pellet grill provides is the ability to smoke your meats while grilling them at the
same time. It is like having a smoker and a pellet grill at the same time. In most of the pellet grills, the smoke
leves are adjustable so that you can have a lot of smoke, or just a hint of smoke, whatever flavor profile you
are going for. You can buy many different types of wood pellets from hickory, maple, pecan, apple, mesquite,
and more.
Pellet Grills Heat Up Fast
A good quality pellet grill will heat up to the right cooking or smoking temparature in about ten to fifteen
minutes. No more thirty minute waits for charcoal to cook off and turn grey to be ready to cook. You can
literally turn on the grill, start prepping your steaks and get them back over to the pellet grill and you are
ready to cook. Grill prep time is cut by fifty percent or more, giving you more of your precious time back.
High End Pellet Grills Can Be Operated Remotely
The high end pellet grills come with built in wifi to that lets you keep an eye on the internal temperature of
your grill from an app on your smartphone or tablet. You can monitor and change the temparature, and even
set alerts to help you monitor your cooking.
How do I Choose the Right Pellet Grill?
Choose a pellet grill that is in your budget and the right size for what you will be cooking. Two of the most
important questions to ask your self is how much can you spend on a pellet grill, and how much cooking
space do you need. There are well made pellet grills for every budget, some with more features, some with
less features, for every price range. Grill size is important because the bigger the grill, the more expensive the
grill will be. Just make sure you don’t buy too small of one, you should allow yourself plenty of room to cook
prime rib or turkey, and other larger meats, as well as for unexpected or expected guests for special
occasions.
Choose a Pellet Grill that is durable and built to last.
Look for a pellet grill with a durable steel construction that can stand up to the heat over time, as well as
being exposed to the changing weather throughout the year.
Buy A Pellet Grill With A Good Warranty
Any pellet grill you buy should come with a warranty that will run from one to three years. The longer the
warranty the better. Though today’s pellet grills will last you many years, it will give you a great peace of mind
knowing that your investment into a pellet grill is protected if something does happen to it.
How Should I use My Pellet Grill?
You can pretty much make anything in a pellet grill that you could make in a standard bbq or a smoker. From
hamburgers, to steaks, prime rib, smoked beef jerky, pulled pork, ham, pizza, to grilled flatbread, and even
bake cakes and pies for dessert.
Is A Pellet Grill Better Than Propane or Charcoal Grills?
Pellet grills are easier to use than other types of grills. They have the added benefit of adding a nice smoked
flavor to your meats. They get hotter quicker, and ready to cook in a fraction of the time needed for those
other types of grills.
