Pardee Reservoir is 300 feet deep. It is home to many species of fish including rainbow trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, kokanee landlocked salmon, brown trout, catfish, crappie, bluegill, and various types of sunfish. Crappie, bluegill and sunfish are really great for all anglers because of the quick action, but especially fun to teach kids how to hone in on their fishing skills.

Pardee Reservoir Fishing Information

Pardee Reservoir has a large perimeter, which allows for a lot of shore fishing in open areas and small coves accessible by making a short hike. The fishing dock is another great location for fishermen, both young and old alike. There is also a fish cleaning station available at the top of the marina so that you can clean your fish and get them on ice for a great meal after a great day of fishing.

A California fishing license is required for any anglers aged 16 or older. For children under 16, an adult with a fishing license accompanying them is required. The lake marina does have fishing licenses for sale in case you forget to get one before you head out to the lake. The cost for fishing at Lake Pardee is $7.00 for each guest over 16 years old. All of the funds collected for the fishing fees are used to plant Rainbow Trout to help keep this lake a great place to fish.

Fishing With Trout Mini Jigs At Pardee Reservoir

One of the best fishing techniques to catch trout at Pardee Reservoir is to jig for trout using the Trout Mini Jigs. Shop for fishing tackle in our Fishing Gear and Tackle store. Casting a trout mini jig out on the water with light tackle gear, let it drop down and hit the bottom, lift your rod up all the way, pulling the trout jig up off the bottom. Then let it slowly drop back down, and repeat. This is a great technique for catching fish at Pardee Reservoir.
